Darcey Watson is an established space industry professional, specialising in education, engagement and innovation strategies for the sector, serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Andy Thomas Space Foundation. A national not-for-profit dedicated to supporting Australia’s next generation of workforce leaders. She holds qualifications in Molecular and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Adelaide as well as Space Studies from the International Space University. Darcey serves as a committee member with the International Astronautical Federation on their Space Education and Outreach committee as well as the Workforce Development – Young Professionals Programme committee, a National Point of Contact for Australia for the Space Generation Advisory Council, a committee member for the International Space University Australia and New Zealand Alumni Committee, Board Member of the Western Australia Space Science Centre and is the Co-Founder of CoLab Society Podcast. Darcey is currently a delegate in the Australian American Young Leadership Dialogue as well as the Women in the Alliance program and has previously been an International Visitors Leadership Program delegate with the US Department of State. Darcey is passionate about raising awareness of non-traditional STEM careers, specifically in the Space sector.
