Dr Eva Balan-Vnuk is Chief Digital Officer for SA Power Networks and Enerven, leading the group’s digital strategy to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and innovation. She oversees technology, cyber security, data, and digital initiatives and operations that enable smarter networks and sustainable energy solutions for South Australia.

Prior to this, Eva was SA Government’s Chief Information Officer for seven years responsible for delivering core technology, cyber security and digital services to 100,000+ public servants and 30 agencies, including through the Covid-19 pandemic. Eva’s early career was with Microsoft in Europe, Asia and Australia, including State Director for Microsoft in South Australia.

Eva has a PhD in social entrepreneurship from the University of Adelaide and is Founder and Director of HerTechPath, a non-profit she founded in 2016 that inspires, connects and supports girls and women to realise diverse and rewarding careers in STEM.
