Dr Kathryn Robison is a Lecturer at the United States Studies Centre and a Senior Research Fellow at the Australasian Centre for Space Governance (ACSG). She holds a PhD in Political Science and specialises in the role of political communication in the formation and dissemination of space policy, with a particular focus on how domestic political dynamics shape international relations and alliance cooperation in space. Her research spans political communication, behaviour, and public opinion, and she co-authored the first comprehensive survey of Australian public opinion on space. Her work sits at the intersection of space policy and international relations, examining how the US, Australia, and allied nations navigate an increasingly contested and multipolar space environment.

Dr Robison is currently writing a book on political communication in space and continuing her public opinion research. She was nominated by NASA and named an IAF Young Space Leader in 2021, and actively contributes to the international space policy community through the International Astronautical Federation and the UN’s Space4Women Network. She is a regular contributor to the Talking Space podcast.
