Paul Fitton is the Director of Cross Sector Risk, within the Department of Home Affairs’ Cyber and Infrastructure Security Centre (CISC). He leads a stream of work that provides strategic-level assessment of nationally significant risks to the critical infrastructure sectors and their critical capabilities listed under the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018. Paul’s section is responsible for the development of the CISC’ flagship Critical Infrastructure Annual Risk Review. He has led the delivery of strategic risk assessments on Australia’s national critical infrastructure sectors and on the cross-sector impacts to critical infrastructure from all hazard and interdependency risk. The risk assessment work provides guidance for government policy considerations and informs critical infrastructure resilience strategies. Paul draws on 20 years’ experience in intelligence, security and risk management, across roles in government and the private sector.
