Paul Solomon is a technology leader with over two decades of experience in the space industry, working across ground systems, satellite communications, and defence software.As Chief Technology Advisor – Australia Defence and Security Solutions at KBR, Paul focuses on architecting the next generation of platforms for integrated software deployment on Defence cloud infrastructure. This has included building concept demonstrators that inform capability decisions and will form the basis of future operational systems.

In 2007, he founded Clearbox Systems, with the goal of building advanced software solutions for integrating space systems. For over 17 years, Paul led Clearbox Systems and built it into the company behind the spectrum monitoring, monitoring and control and mission software still in sustained operational use on Australian Defence space programs today.

Earlier in Paul’s career, he worked across the satellite and broadcast sector, building remote monitoring and control systems for ground stations and television transmission across Australia for clients including the ABC and Airservices Australia, and helping deliver Australia’s first Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) anchor station.
